From April to June 2022, McDonald's sold a special Three-Colour Bua Loy ice cream. It was delicious, sweet and rich in perfect balance, and just talking about it makes us want one. Today Meeting Point shows you how good it was. Anyone with a sweet tooth will love it.

McDonald's Bua Loy ice cream was pure bliss. The rice balls are soft and chewy, soaked in coconut milk smoked with the aroma of scented candles and mixed with young coconut. They sit on smooth vanilla soft serve and are drizzled with a special egg yolk flavoured coating. Sweet, rich and deeply satisfying.

Prices started at just 39 baht. You could get it as a Three-Colour Bua Loy Sundae or as Bua Loy à la mode with a corn pie. For 6 baht more, you could swap the corn pie for a taro and young coconut pie, which goes even better. The colours are so cute and appetising, it's hard to resist.

One small criticism: the amount of bua loy varied by branch. At the first branch we tried, we got very few. When we asked, the staff said it's 8 balls per cup. At another branch we got more. Honestly, we wish they'd add more, because that's the best part.

To go with it, an iced latte is strong, creamy and refreshing. If you prefer things clean, order an iced Americano: black coffee with no sugar, which cuts through the sweetness of the ice cream nicely. Coffee lovers who prefer other styles will enjoy them just as much.

Sadly, it was only available from 8 April to 21 June 2022, but we wanted to share it with you anyway. When there are more good deals like this, we'll keep you updated.
