This is another easy-going riverside spot we want you to try. Brown Sugar Cafe & Bistro sits right on the river with views of Ko Lamphu and the Sri Tapi Bridge. Inside, it is designed in a dark-toned industrial-loft style, with both an air-conditioned room and outdoor seating, and glass all around so you get the full view. There are cute photo spots throughout, especially the pier area, which is set up specially for photos. If you love taking pictures, you will not be disappointed.
How are the food and drinks?
- Food: delicious and very much to our taste, especially the pork dishes, which are wonderfully tender. (A little secret: the owner is a chef who ran a restaurant before.)
- Drinks: excellent. The coffee is very good, with several strengths to choose from. We liked the Apple Toffee and the Black Yuzu, and there are many more drinks. We also loved the berry smoothies, refreshing and great for cooling down. You can order them less sweet, extra sweet or with no sugar at all.
- Cakes: we loved them, because they are homemade, lightly sweet and made with good ingredients. The coconut cake and the eclairs are especially good.
Evenings
At night the cafe serves food and alcoholic drinks, and there is live music at dinner time, which is very relaxing. The space is large, comfortable and attractive, and the riverside atmosphere is lovely. You can even book the whole place for a party. It suits every occasion: celebrating with friends, a family meal, dinner with colleagues, or a date.
