Bite and Bond is another beautiful cafe we really want to recommend. It's inside the Double B Hostel and very easy to find. Inside, it's open, airy and easy on the eyes. From the outside it might not look like much, and you could even walk past without noticing, because it looks like a small hidden hotel on Soi Nava. Since it's a shophouse with a cafe inside, many people might assume it's cramped, but it's not at all. Walk in and you'll be wowed by how big it feels, probably thanks to the very high ceiling, which makes the space feel much larger. The highlight here is the modern decor, which makes it a cafe where you can relax comfortably all day. Just don't forget to order some drinks and bakery while you're here.
The cafe area has quite a few tables and chairs for customers, and the space is very well laid out. On the day we went it was fairly busy, but it never felt cramped. There's also a glass room, which we think is a separate area for hotel guests, so they don't get mixed up with the cafe's daily customers.
The Coffee
Coffee lovers, this way. The drinks focus mainly on coffee, with two beans to choose from: Bobby (medium roast) and Bethy (light roast), in a specialty coffee style. The signature beans have a story behind them, under the name "Bobby and Betty", a dark roast inspired by the owner's father. The owner says the name brings to mind a strong man with a mustache. Most importantly, her father is the wind beneath her wings who made this cafe possible. And Bobby alone wouldn't do, because her mother played an equally important part, so Betty joined in and it became Bobby and Betty. Such a sweet story.
What We Tried
The cafe has created several drinks worth trying, such as Lychee Mojito, Coconut, Palm Fruit, Yuzu and more. We tried Breezy, a yuzu sparkling coffee. The coffee is smooth and fragrant, balanced perfectly with the yuzu, and it's so refreshing. Coffee lovers should definitely try it. You'll love its unique flavor. If you're not a coffee drinker, there are non-coffee options too, including Thai tea, Earl Grey, green tea, matcha, cocoa and fruit juices, plus plenty of bakery items.
