This is another Phra Nakhon cafe we want you to visit. We love the decor: the ground floor is vintage with dark tones, while upstairs has a tropical vibe that is great for photos. If you want to escape the rush of the city, take a break at Trok Khrut Cafe, a beautiful cafe renovated from a shophouse more than 40 years old that keeps its retro character perfectly.

The two owners love Phra Nakhon for the charm of its buildings and an atmosphere unlike the rest of the city, so they went looking for a building they liked. They found this one, which had been left empty for 10 years and never rented out. They renovated and designed everything themselves, collecting old furniture from around the world and mixing it into a well-balanced retro style. The cafe has two floors, with air-conditioned seating and an extra-wide balcony decorated for anyone who wants to sit back and take in the old town views.

The food menu is long and spans many cuisines, so it is hard to choose. Today we tried grilled chicken rice with jaew dipping sauce. The sauce was seriously spicy; even for spice lovers like us, it packed a punch.
