Rojjana Cafe: hearing the name, you might think of the heroine from Thai literature, right? Not quite. Today Meeting Point is taking you to a laid-back cafe in the middle of the rice fields called Rojjana Cafe. Let's see how chilled and visit-worthy it is.

Have we suddenly wandered into a scene from Thai literature? Sometimes a staff member dressed as Chao Ngo, the wild forest character from the classic tale, serves food out in the fields, adding a splash of fun to Rojjana Cafe. You don't have to drive far, either: it's in Bang Bua Thong, Nonthaburi, right next to Bangkok. The concept is a Thai restaurant with bold flavours and Thai-style decor, with bamboo seating where you can eat overlooking the pond.

Walking through the gate, it honestly didn't feel like a cafe at all. It felt more like a garden house full of trees, wonderfully shady, with small, medium and large tables ready for guests to sip coffee and eat in total comfort.
Rojjana Cafe is a super-chilled raft-house style restaurant in Nonthaburi, in Soi Wat Lat Pla Duk. It's lovely and cool, with a pond in the middle surrounded by raft huts. You can sit with your legs dangling while you eat and soak up the fresh air. It's the best.

What we had
- Crispy pork with holy basil and a fried egg over rice: Seriously spicy and zingy.
- Blended cappuccino: Great coffee, milky and blended rich and strong.
Best of all, the food and drinks are inexpensive.

Cafe lovers won't be disappointed with the photo spots. There are loads of places to check in, inside the shop and outside among the lush green rice fields. In the rainy season the air is especially fresh. It's hard to believe a cafe this cute, with such a great atmosphere, is so close to Bangkok. Food and drinks are cheap, with both savoury dishes and desserts. It's great for a trip with friends, family or your partner.

There's seating all around, so sit wherever you like. Some seats face the pond, and the highlight many visitors don't miss is the huts right next to the rice paddies. Personally, that's our favourite spot too. On a nice day with a soft breeze and an iced coffee, sitting there makes you feel relaxed and cool, almost part of nature. Unfortunately the sun was pretty strong today, so we decided inside was better, ha ha.
