Mae Sakhon old-style thick-broth kuay jab is delicious and well worth trying. Kuay jab is one of Thailand's favorite noodle dishes, with both thick and clear broth versions. Today we are introducing another great shop: Mae Sakhon, where you do not even need to season your bowl.

Mae Sakhon's thick-broth kuay jab is tasty, cheap and loaded with toppings, and it is served beautifully. The crispy pork is juicy, the pork is tender, and it comes with a big boiled egg. So satisfying.

The broth is rich and made to the shop's own recipe. You can eat it as it comes with no seasoning, though spice lovers can add as much heat as they like. Note that they only serve kuay jab noodles.

The shop is a little hidden. You need to go into a small lane behind Jira yen ta fo, entering by the duck noodle lane, and it is just a short walk in. The shop is cute, shady and cool, and we were really charmed. Best of all, the auntie who runs it is lovely, friendly and genuinely cares about her customers.
The kuay jab stall also shares space with Pak Dam Yam Saep, a spicy salad shop.
